Recently having relocated from New York City, Sylvia Frys is very excited to join the Center Stage Dance faculty this year.
Sylvia has extensive teaching and choreographing experience with all levels and ages and has had the privilege of working with various companies, studios, and high schools in Phoenix, AZ and New York City.
Her choreography has been recognized winning specialty and choreography awards along with countless top scores at regional and national competitions across the country. Sylvia grew up dancing, training, and competing at various dance studios in Phoenix, AZ, but she attributes her most influential training and career preparation to the time she spent in New York City at the Broadway Dance Center as a Professional Program Scholarship recipient, where she intensively trained in over 22 classes per week for 10 months.
During her time on scholarship, Sylvia had the privilege of studying from and performing works by world renowned choreographers Wes Veldink, Andy Blankenbuehler, Ray Leeper, Michele Assaf, Kat Wildish, Joey Dowling, and Mandy Moore to name a few. Since then, Sylvia has worked professionally on stage, industrials, and tv/film for companies including L'oreal, Paul Mitchell, Cisco, McDonalds, MetLife, Sprite, and Fox's Hell's Kitchen.
Sylvia has also toured internationally with Spirit Productions performing their productions of "Dancing Queen" and "Spirit of Christmas". Sylvia can now be seen performing as a showgirl in Donn Arden's Jubilee! at Bally's Hotel and Casino here in Las Vegas.
