Alicia was born and raised right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. She started taking dance at the age of 10 with Desert Shores Dance Academy. There she studied ballet, hip hop, and lyrical. From ages 14 to 16 she competed in ballet and hip hop with Desert Shores Dance Academy. During her sophomore year of high school she joined Dance Fusion, the dance team of Centennial High School. She also transferred to Kids in Motion the same year. Alicia competed on the Senior Odyssey dance team at Kids in Motion under the instruction of Janet Kasnick-Eatchel. She competed in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, and character until the beginning of her second year in college. Alicia is a psychology and counseling major at UNLV. She started teaching at Kids in Motion in August of 2006. Alicia has taught hip hop, jazz, ballet, and cheerleading to multiple levels and age groups. Along with teaching she helps her sorority choreograph for various events including homecoming that her sorority won in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Alicia loves to share her love and experience of dance with dancers of all different ages and levels. She connects with her dancers on various levels by having a personality of holding onto her kid years. She looks forward to her dance family growing with Center Stage Dance Academy.
In her spare time Alicia enjoys participating in psychology research, reading various books, watching and collecting movies, trying new restaurants, traveling to new places, swimming, and step classes. She loves Nanning for two wonderful kids, one boy named Caden, and one girl named Halle. She enjoys spending time with her sorority sisters and participating in philanthropic events to raise money for charities. Her favorite style of dance to teach is hip hop jazz, and her favorite style of dance to do is lyrical jazz.
